Hello, my name is Joan Wilkinson, also known as the Tax Queen! I am the President and founder of Tax Queen Inc. I received my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. I started working in the corporate world over twelve years ago experiencing the accounting departments from large corporations such as Coors Brewing Company and PacifiCare. I left the corporate jungle to pursue my family life and refocus my goals. I was not happy with the 9 to 5 and wanted to be able to teach others the business skills I had learned. I began subcontracting my bookkeeping services out on a part-time basis until I eventually built up a clientele (some of which are still with me today, thank you!) to make me officially "in business"! These past years have been so wonderful to me. Today, I am fortunate to have a very successful business that has doubled in size each and every year since I started. Who else would you want helping you with your business?! They also call me the "Deduction Queen"! Being familiar with law enforcement families, I specialize in law enforcement deductions. As a parent, home owner, investor and self-employed entrepreneur, I also have expertise in small business, medical, child care and family deductions. I am registered, insured and bonded in the state of California to prepare all types of Income Tax Returns. Don't be fooled by preparers who do not sign the returns they prepare or who are not properly registered with the State to perform such services. I, along side of my team of qualified bookkeepers, can provide services to meet all of your personal and business needs. I also have access to other professionals in my field, such as Certified Public Accountants, Logistics Analysts, Business Advisors and Financial Planners. I am a member of the National Society of Tax Professionals and, as required by state law, am registered with the California Tax Education Council. Annual certification is required to stay registered with the state. I also have a registered Preparer Tax Identification Number as legally required with the IRS. My business is also registered, as required by city ordinance, with the City of Los Angeles and carries standard business liability insurance. We take being in business very serious.
